Let the Summer Begin!
Just like a starfish, our camp has 5 "arms", each one representing a different daily activity based on the theme of the week. Week-long, themed sessions include swimming lessons, tennis instruction, arts/crafts, various outdoor games, and free swim.
Camp Starfish utilizes the Stoneridge/Sedgefield Swim and Racquet Club as the base for all its activities. Campers have exclusive use of the pool and tennis courts for lessons. The basketball courts and lawn are utilized for outdoor games. Our covered picnic pavilion and air conditioned club house are utilized for lunch breaks and creative, enriching activities.
In addition to offering daily swimming and tennis instruction, supervised land and pool games, and creative art projects, Camp Starfish is partnering with the Scrap Exchange, Bricks 4 Kids and High Touch High Tech to add enriching and fun learning modules for our campers.
Meet our Camp Director
My name is Lindsey Hansen and I'm thrilled to be coming back this year as the camp director for Camp Starfish. I just know this summer is going to be a blast.
A little about me: During the school year, I am the art teacher at Creekside Elementary school in Durham. I have two sons. When I have free time I enjoy practicing yoga and baking. I love planning creative and challenging art projects for kids. We will be doing LOTS of art at Camp Starfish this summer.
What I love most about Camp Starfish is that the days are packed with something for everyone. We have tennis, lots of swimming, arts and crafts, our specialty activities like Bricks 4 Kids, High Touch High Tech, and the Scrap Exchange. Our campers are always having fun!
I'm looking forward to this summer and can't wait to meet our returning and new campers.
